FA LA LA LA LA… IT’S ALMOST CHRISTMAS!
You know what that means right? $PEND $PEND $PEND

Small businesses already have a tough time staying afloat with department stores being the ultimate competition, especially around Christmas. However, with COVID-19 still being such threat to our health and economy, small businesses need our help NOW more than ever. So many people, including myself, don’t have a huge income to splurge right now. We want to support our friends and the businesses we love but we don’t have the big bucks to do it, right? FRET NOT PALS, here are five EASY PEASY ways to support a small business without spending one cent!
- SHARE SHARE SHARE- Did they post something to Facebook or Instagram? Share it to your followers! It only takes seconds and can mean so much to them. This can help them acquire a bigger following which means more purchases.
- Promote their products on social media- This is a HUGE but super easy task. Social media outlets are extremely popular which means it’s a huge opportunity to promote your friends businesses and products. Take a 20 second Instagram video talking about their new product. Share their post to your story, share a photo on twitter and tag them, heck even make a cute TikTok!
- Word of mouth- Know someone who could use a new pair of earrings? What about a homemade baked good or a custom designed coffee mug? We are in the holiday season and everyone is looking for personal gifts. Recommend their work to a friend or family member! Even pull up their social media page to show them what they could purchase. Believe me, it’s a huge help.
- Interact with their page- Did they post a question on their new post? Something like “whats your favorite holiday tradition?” or “Which color, red or green?” INTERACT! Comment, tag friends and be supportive! Answer their questions and play their games. Sometimes they will post giveaways, definitely interact with it. It’s fun (you have a change to win something) AND it shows your friend that you are being supportive. Do you know how many times someone posts giveaways and next to no-one participates? It’s not a great feeling. Do something easy- comment and interact. I promise it’ll mean a lot to them!
5. Write a review! Be creative, simple, or even dramatic. The point is you are writing something positive for other people to see! You don’t have the money to spend? No big deal, someone out there DOES and will see your post. A few sentences or even emojis could mean another purchase for them so why not do it?
In short- BE A GOOD FRIEND THIS HOLIDAY SEASON!

Small businesses are suffering and your contribution could mean a BIG difference this season.
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays y’all.
