Shop SMALL- Hoosier style

IMG_5816I am a huge fan of shopping “small” and supporting local businesses. Fall feels like it’s ending quickly, however, there is still time to get that fall feel while shopping for pumpkins! Living in the Midwest has its perks, one of them being an amazing amount of farmers! Farming is immensely underrated (Farmers make America great!) and I’ve witnessed my fair share of the farming family here in the Hoosier state. IMG_5880

I LOVE FALL. Seriously, I get as giddy as a five year old at Disneyland come mid September. One of my favorite fall activities besides sipping a grande PSL, is heading to the pumpkin patch and decorating these beauties! I spent one day searching for pumpkin patches and came across Ashley’s Pumpkin Farm in Saint Joe County! With my Nikon loaded and favorite fall accessories on, my friend and I headed to this hidden treasure in South Bend. IMG_5984-1

While we of course had a fall fashion shoot, we stumbled upon a corn maze, (you think it’s easy but when your anxiety kicks in five minutes later you’ll be sweating) and TONS of pumpkins. They had white, ROSE GOLD, and of course Orange, not to mention their huge variety of gourds. There’s even goats you can feed! (Seriously, how CUTE)

IMG_5813There’s no fee to get in, so don’t worry! The only expense you’ll have is paying for EXTREMELY affordable pumpkins. However, if you’re allergic to bees I  recommend you find a different patch as there were bees near. All the pumpkins you see in the little red wagon cost me $10 total. While you can easily head into your local Super Target or grocery store and buy one $5 pumpkin, it’s much more fun picking them out from a WIDE variety! Plus, you can’t take adorable fall photos in the middle of Target.

As I’ve mentioned Ashley’s Pumpkin Farm is FAMILY owned and run by the sweetest people!

If you love this great country as much as I do and adore our beautiful Hoosier state, (preferably Saint Joe County) shop SMALL and buy your pumpkins from this family owned business! This family just SCREAMS American values and family traditions.

Happy Fall, Y’all!

xoxo
